Wharves, ships and
Port stories, on screen

Since 1972 the Port Adelaide Historical Society has preserved the past of the Port. Now a growing collection of short films is bringing that history to a wider audience — free to watch, made in the Port, about the Port.

Preserving the past for the future

The Port Adelaide Historical Society is one of South Australia's largest and most active historical societies, run entirely by volunteers out of our museum on Fletcher Road, Peterhead. We collect, catalogue and share the story of the Port Adelaide region — through our collection, our quarterly magazine, guided tours, and now, on film.

Our video series takes viewers behind the scenes of the collection and out into the streets, wharves and waterways that shaped Port Adelaide, told by the people who know it best.
